Oceanside, CA (March 2017) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has been awarded $500 by Staples Foundation, the private charitable arm of Staples, Inc., to support one of BGCO’s cornerstone programs, Academic Achievement Hour.

Academic Achievement Hour offers a variety of activities to ensure the academic success of Club members. Each day, BGCO provides homework assistance, literacy intervention and an intensive Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts and Math (STREAM) component. During Academic Achievement Hour all participants are involved in interactive, project based learning activities, educational and strategic games, hands on experiments and creative and innovative art activities that incorporate academics.
