Oceanside, CA (February 2017) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) serves over 3,000 youth a year, 50% of whom are teens. The Club has continued to be a safe haven and a place for youth to learn and grow into confident, responsible and caring members of society. 

To celebrate these extraordinary efforts, Ross Stores, Inc. announced that it is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside with a four-week program called, “Help Local Kids Learn.”  Beginning Feb. 4 through Feb. 26, customers in Oceanside can make a monetary contribution at the Ross Store on Mission Marketplace, 463 College Blvd, Oceanside, CA 92057, during checkout to be donated to BGCO.

The in-store giving campaign is in conjunction with the national partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Ross Dress for Less. “Our company believes in giving back to our community, and we are proud to support the Academic Achievement Hour program to help youth develop the skills they need to excel in school and beyond”  said Gary Cribb, executive vice president, Stores and Loss Prevention for Ross Stores, Inc.

  • 80% of proceeds raised at each store will benefit local Boys & Girls Clubs, and 20% will be given to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
  • Every $3 donation helps provide one hour of homework help for a Club youth
  • $15 helps keep a kid safe after school today
