SDUTBoys & Girls Club gets grant to help adults with disabilities

Participants to give performance

— A program for adults with disabilities run by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside received a $2,500 grant. The grant for the ROADS program, aka Real Options for Adults with Disabilities came from the Fallbrook-based Legacy Endowment Community Foundation’s Elisabeth Wilson Endowment fund. The program provides classes, field trips and volunteer opportunities along with social activities for adults throughout North County who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. The grant was used to buy costumes and a high-tech wireless microphone system for the program’s drama and performance activities.
